Next Drive-Through Food Drive set for March 20
Part of an ongoing effort to help people in our community, the City of Mission Viejo is hosting its next drive-through food drive from 9-11 am on Saturday, March 20 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
The food drive will benefit the nonprofit Families Forward, which helps families in need achieve self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling and other services.
Most-needed food items include oatmeal, pasta, hearty soups, cereal, dried beans, canned chicken, macaroni & cheese, canned fruit, canned pasta, canned chili, canned mixed vegetables (no green beans or corn), canned beef stew, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, protein bars and dinner helpers.
With COVID-19 protocols in place, the drive-through food drive will allow folks to drive up, pop their trunks and City staff members will collect the items.
