mental health

As part of an ongoing effort to provide valuable resources to our community, Mission Viejo Police Services is teaming up with the OC Health Care Agency to host a Mental Health Awareness program on Wednesday, February 26.

Led by Dr. Jorge Galindo, a reserve deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and the OC Health Care Agency, the free program is from 6-9 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

Designed to provide services for people or their loved ones struggling with mental health, the program will focus on mental health awareness; related laws; and the resources to help folks suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, anger and behavior issues, paranoia and suicidal ideations.

Dr. Galindo is a licensed psychotherapist who has led more than 100 presentations locally and nationally on mental health and wellness.  He works to educate the public about the common psychiatric and psychological struggles of individuals, families and children.

This free presentation is open to anyone in Orange County. For more information, contact Mission Viejo Police Services at 949-470-8433.
