Free compost available Saturday, Aug. 15
Free compost is available for Mission Viejo residents in the parking lot of the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center starting at 11 am on Saturday, August 15 while supplies last.
Composting is the recycling of organic materials back into a valuable soil product that may be used in gardens or on potted plants – which can save you money, time and reduce your garden’s watering and weeding needs. It also benefits the environment by recycling vital organic resources and extending the life of our landfills.
The City teams up with Waste Management to provide the compost.
This is a self-service event, so to pick up the compost, bring a shovel and container (or bag) to the Animal Services Center located at 28095 Hillcrest. Please follow social-distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
