See how Secretary of State is responding to concerns regarding voting by mail for General Election
With the November 3 General Election quickly approaching and concerns across the country of voting by mail, the City of Mission Viejo is sharing the Secretary of State’s “Vote Safe†guide with the community.
The guide features frequently asked questions and information including how California has extended the time that vote-by-mail ballots can arrive to county elections offices for this election. Vote-by-mail ballots postmarked on or before 8 pm on Election Day can arrive up to 17 days after Election Day and be counted.
The Secretary of State’s “Where’s My Ballot?†tracking tool is now available in every county. Voters can sign up to receive automatic notifications by text message, email or voice call on the status of their vote-by-mail ballot at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.

The Registrar of Voters is currently working on securing 6 Vote Center locations in Mission Viejo, At this time, the two confirmed sites are at the Civic Center and Norman P. Murray Community Center. You will be able to vote and/or deliver a ballot to any Vote Center location.

I wish to take my absentee ballot to a polling place, show my ID, turn my ballot in, and vote in person and NOT DELIVER IT. Will this still be available?
