Restaurants, movie theaters and places of worship can resume indoor operations at reduced capacity
The County of Orange today moved from the Purple Tier to the Red Tier as a part of Governor Newsom’s Blue Print for a Safer Economy – allowing certain business sectors to reopen immediately and businesses to expand their operations with certain restrictions.
Here is a list of some activities and businesses now reopened and/or expanded today:
- May reopen for indoor dining with modifications
- Capacity must be limited to 25 percent or 100 people, whichever is less
- Must close every night by 10 pm
- Can reopen indoors with modifications
- Indoor activities must be limited to 25 percent of capacity or 100 people, whichever is less
- Can reopen with modifications
- Indoor capacity must be limited to 50 percent for shopping malls, destination shopping centers, and swap meets
- Common areas are closed
- Reduced capacity shopping center food courts (see Restaurants guidelines for more details)
- May reopen with modifications
- Retail capacity must be limited to 50 percent
- May reopen indoors with modifications
Personal Care Services (nail salons, body waxing, tattoo parlors, piercing studios, skin care & cosmetology, and massage services)
- Can reopen indoors with modifications
- May reopen indoors with modifications
- Capacity must be limited to 10 percent
- May reopen with modifications
- Capacity must be limited to 25 percent or 100 people, whichever is less
- May reopen outdoor only with modifications for activities such as go-kart racing, mini golf, and batting cages
- Can be open outdoors only with modifications
- May reopen indoors with modifications
- Indoor activities must be limited to 25 percent of capacity

Can you tell me when the gym at the Montanoso Recreation Center will reopen?
We are excited about the…
We are excited about the ability to potentially reopen the Montanoso and Sierra gyms with the recently issued state guidelines. We are busy modifying our reopening plans to comply with the new guidelines and will be working on setting up the gyms next week to incorporate social distancing. We are also updating custodial agreements and staffing schedules so we may be prepared to welcome our members back. Once all of these things are in place and we determine it is safe to reopen, members will be contacted via email with our new procedures and modified operating hours. Look for an update later this month.
