Help County prepare for future COVID-19 vaccine by taking this survey

oc health care agency logo

In preparation for a future COVID-19 vaccine, the Orange County Health Care Agency is conducting a brief survey to gauge community input. The results of the online survey, which is available in multiple languages, will help the Health Care Agency better plan for distributing the vaccine when it becomes available.

Please take a moment to take the applicable survey below.

Thank you for your inquiry about COVID-19 vaccines, and we're sorry to hear of your wife’s condition. Given that condition, you may wish to call the Orange County Health Care Agency’s COVID-19 Hotline at 714-834-2000, or their Health Referral Line at 800-564-8448.

According to California’s COVID-19 vaccination plan (available at https://covid19.ca.gov/vaccines/), adults over 75 who are not in a long-term care facility are designated as a part of the “Phase 1B” tier, and vaccinations are currently underway for Phase 1A. The Orange County Health Care Agency has posted information and resources through the following link:

You also may wish to consult with your primary care physician/healthcare provider and the location where you normally have your prescriptions filled.

My wife and I qualify under 1B1 77 yrs old
Where do we sign up for the vaccine?
Where do we report to?
Why is there not a sign up list for Mission Viejo
or Orange County?
Thank you,
Richard and Carol Meyers

My 97 year old mother lives alone at Costa del sol in Mission Viejo. She does not have access to the internet to let her know when Phase 1B will start. How will she be able to find out how and when she can receive the vaccine? Should I direct her to call the 714-628-7085 phone number starting in February?? I live out of state and am trying to assist her from long distance. Thank you for your time.

The 714-628-7085 number you noted is the Orange County Emergency Operations Center Public Information Hotline, and staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm to answer questions. You may wish to call that number sooner than February as the County is currently in the process of setting up “Super Pod” vaccination sites, which will be operational soon. Super Pods are large vaccination sites that will supplement hospital, pharmacy and private clinic vaccination efforts. Once the Super Pod sites are operational, the Orange County Health Care Agency will be disseminating that information on the Hotline and their website.

Currently (January 13, 2021) COVID vaccines are not available in the City of Mission Viejo unless your healthcare provider has them available - you may wish to check with your personal doctor.

The countywide COVID-19 vaccination program is being managed by the County of Orange Healthcare Agency. As a senior, you can register for your spot in line to receive a vaccine and you will be contacted when an appointment is available. The "Supersite" at Disneyland is currently providing vaccines however they have received more requests than vaccines are available. We would recommend you follow this link to get registered so you can be in line for your vaccine:

Additional information on vaccines through the County program can be found here: https://occovid19.ochealthinfo.com/phased-approach-vaccine-distribution.
