Don’t miss the Oso Creek Golf Course and Public Space Virtual Workshop March 11

The City of Mission Viejo is developing a Vision Plan for its recently acquired Oso Creek Golf Course and adjoining public space and is hosting a virtual workshop March 11 to share project alternatives and get your input to further this community project.

The Oso Creek Golf Course and Public Space Virtual Workshop is from 6-7:30 pm with registration available on Zoom.

The City in 2019 acquired the formerly named Casta Del Sol Golf Course that was designed in 1970. Along with the public space along Oso Creek between Casta Del Sol Road and Jeronimo, the City now owns more than 200 acres of public space in the center of Mission Viejo. This Vision Plan will help identify alternatives for the best uses of the public space in the future.

The March 11 workshop will take place as part of the Economic Development Committee (EDC) meeting and represents a larger community involvement process that included a community-wide survey and listening sessions with bordering stakeholders at the end of last year. After initial community engagement, alternatives were developed based on existing conditions, baseline analysis, and information from the survey and listening sessions. The City will continue to engage the community through online surveys and public meetings.

Good job on the oso creek golf course! Please continue to provide local golf at the same reasonable costs. Well done

I was on an earlier virtual call with this group as I’m a HOA board member of Cypress Point community. I cannot be on this zoom on the 11th. Will this zoom be recorded and available to see at a later time?

I am thrilled that the city continues to take an active approach to keep congestion and high density housing OUT of our great town! Looking forward to the meeting.

In line with Ms. Krieger's and Mr. Elia's suggestions, A driving range on the other side of Jeronimo. A par 35 nine hole course with multiple tees. New housing with priority to existing Mission Viejo homeowners to free up existing homes for young families.
