Mission Viejo Library will reopen by appointment April 6

Library

With the County's move back to a less-restrictive tier, the Mission Viejo Library is gearing up to reopen to the public by appointment on Tuesday, April 6.

Here are other important dates to remember:

  • Reservations for appointments begin on Thursday, March 25 at https://cmvl.as.me.
  • To prepare for the library's reopening, curbside service will be suspended on Friday, April 2 and will resume on Saturday, April 3.

In-person reservations are good for an hour, and a single reservation can include a family unit. With an appointment, you can obtain library cards, pick up holds, browse the collection, check out new materials, get reference help and retrieve remote printing. Appointments will be available from noon to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Curbside service will continue to be available as well.

Other services - including use of study rooms, public computers as well as seating - will be phased in later in accordance with State COVID-19 guidelines.

Masks and social distancing will be required while in the library. If you need an accommodation, contact 949-830-7100, ext. 5105 before your appointment time.

For more information, email libreference@cityofmissionviejo.org.

is the genealogy section open yet? Is there an email for that group? Is there any plans for opening up the Frirnds of the Library sales room again?
I AM SO GLAD THAT THE LIBRARY IS STARTING TO OPEN UP AGAIN! IT HAS BEEN A LONG, HARD TREK WITHOUT YOU!

Thank you for your comments and interest in the reopening of the Library. Additional services will be phased in over the following weeks, so keep an eye on the website, eNewsletter or social media for dates to be posted as soon as confirmed.

Also asking about the used bookstore... I have donations to give, and like to shop there for myself as well as gifts to others... miss going there! (Are you still selling online?)
