My husband and I just walked…
My husband and I just walked the Oso Creek trail late yesterday afternoon and noticed all the changes, we hadn’t been for a while. We were wondering why so many trees and bushes were removbed? I’m sure there’s a reason but it’s lost some of it’s special beauty with so much foliage gone. Just wondering, not complaining…we’re so thankful for our beautiful Mission Viejo (lived here since 1974).
Thank you for your comment…
Thank you for your comment on the City’s News page. The City recently began a project in that section of Oso Creek with an environmental biologist consultant to remove the invasive non-native vegetation that has over-populated the creek to leave it in its natural state with native plants. The area does have a more open look at present, but over the coming months as the native plants grow and mature it will create a picturesque spot with healthier native vegetation which requires less water to sustain.
