The Potocki Center for the Arts is kicking off spring with a nature theme and expanded hours and programs. After nearly two years, the center is launching a full suite of spring art classes, workshops, and programs. The center's current hours and class lineup here.

The focus this year is on nature and how it inspires us all to be creative. Nature emphasizes renewal, transformation and creative growth - which are part of our journey adapting to the "new normal." The center's staff, Friends, and volunteers are working together to create many opportunities throughout the year for the community to experience art and nature together. Visit the Potocki Center through April to enjoy the amazing nature photography of Jenny Rose and Bruce Benedict. A free artist reception will be held from 5-6:30 pm on Monday, May 9 where you can enjoy food and wine while mingling with the artists.

Along with regular offerings, keep an eye out for these upcoming events:

  • The return of the City's Earth Day celebration
  • Permanent installation of the mosaic bears along the trail between the Potocki Center and the Community Center
  • Patio refresh and reconfiguration at the Potocki Center
  • Art mural installation in the tunnel along the Oso Creek Trail
  • The Pacific Symphony and Prelude in the Park
  • The return of Shakespeare by the Sea
  • Installation of mobile storywalk on the Oso Creek Trail and in local parks

Are you looking for more ways to bring arts and culture to our City? There are many opportunities to be involved with the arts through volunteering. For more information, contact 949-470-8470 or arts@cityofmissionviejo.org.
