City prepares for first storm event of the season

In addition to the City's annual storm preparation that begins ahead of the rainy season, Public Services crews have been busy gearing up for the first storm of the season, which was expected to arrive today. 

Crews have been inspecting and cleaning drainage systems throughout the public rights-of-way, buildings, parks and facilities. To lessen storm-related tree damage, crews have worked throughout the summer addressing problematic trees.    

City staff and maintenance contractors are ready to respond to after-hours storm-related emergencies.
