Dog rescued last week is flourishing and will soon be available for adoption

Robinson

Since being rescued last week by Mission Viejo Animal Services Officers after roaming the streets of Rancho Santa Margarita for three days with a muzzle, Robinson, AKA Robbie, is flourishing and adjusting to being spoiled.

This sweet young dog has been enjoying his toys and treats compliments of the community and a substantial donation of specialized dog food from Grandma Lucy’s.

Right now, staff is evaluating Robbie to determine the best suitable home environment for the young dog. Once that is established, he will be moved to the “available” status.

“The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center’s’ adoption process is a bit different than other large animal shelters … we take great strides to ensure that adoptable animals are placed into the best suitable home,” said Animal Services Supervisor Kyle Werner. “The evaluation process by skilled animal care staff will determine things like suitability with other animals, children and what home environment Robbie will benefit from. Applications then will be reviewed for the best possible match.”

Once the evaluation is completed, the application process will open for Robinson. Applications can be completed online at cmvas.org.

While there is only one Robinson, many other great dogs need loving homes, so if you’re looking for a new dog or cat, check out the other available animals at https://cityofmissionviejo.org/departments/animal-services/adopt/find-pet. If you're interested in donating, view the center's donation wish list.

Let me know.

My mom loves sewing projects for charity. She would love to help make "cat quilts". If you could provide more info, like the questions Julie is asking, that would be great! She is retired and needs a project!
