Fabulous floral images on display at Norman P. Murray Center

The next time you take a stroll around the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, check out the fabulous floral images on display at the Creekside Terrace cabanas.

The artwork is by Elyse Campus Cohen, an artist simply known as Elyse, who has gained an international reputation for her luminous watercolors, particularly her close-up, textured, dappled images of flowers.

Making use of her many talents, Elyse has promoted her work for more than a decade. She has participated in gallery exhibitions around the world, and her works are in numerous corporate as well as private collections and museums. She is an active member of the Mission Viejo arts community.

In all Elyse’s works, light plays a defining role. In her street and park scenes, strong cleansing sunlight produces an intricate counterpoint of shadow. Her floral works show the delicate interplay of direct light, translucent illumination and shadow. They convey an undertone of spirituality in nature’s beauty.

Her work will be on display through mid-July at 24932 Veterans Way.
