Council will consider park improvements and pedestrian safety projects November 14
The City Council on November 14 will consider a project for infrastructure to enhance pedestrian safety and a design to improve a park play area, among other business.
The business portion of the meeting starts at 6 pm in the City Council Chamber, 200 Civic Center.
Furthering the Council’s priority to improve one park play area per year, a design contract will be considered to prepare construction drawings for a Crucero Park Play Area Rehabilitation project at 27672 Crucero.
As part of a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant and to assist pedestrians at crosswalks, the Council will review plans to authorize staff to advertise for construction bids for the citywide installation of audible pedestrian push buttons on existing traffic signal infrastructure.
The Council will also hold a Public Hearing on the Housing Element, part of the City’s General Plan that includes programs and objectives to further the development, improvement and preservation of housing. The City held multiple community workshops this year and has worked closely with the State to get the element into compliance with State law. The document will be considered by the Council for approval to be sent to the State’s Department of Housing and Community Development for final approval.
In other Council news, there will be a presentation by the Moulton Niguel Water District about its proposed OASIS Water Recycling and South County Emergency Water Interconnection projects.
Council meetings are streamed live on the City’s website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Residents are encouraged to sign up for the City's eNewsletter and follow the City's official social media sites for the most accurate, up-to-date information.

I love how you use the word…
I love how you use the word public hearing which implies hubs and take. There is no give and take. Once a person has commented their input is over.
