Public invited to Veterans Day observance Nov. 11
The City of Mission Viejo’s annual Veterans Day ceremony takes place at 8:30 am on Monday, November 11 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center.
The indoor ceremony will feature military keynote speaker Colonel Charles “Clay” Readinger, Commanding Officer of Headquarter Battalion, First Marine Division and guest speaker retired Senior Chief, United States Navy, Gary Tegel. The event will also boast a live vocal performance of patriotic songs; presentation of colors by the Marine Color Guard as well as a three-volley rifle salute and taps. To support folks with hearing impairments, the ceremony will feature sign language interpretation.
After the ceremony, patrons will enjoy an outdoor reception in the Veterans Plaza.
The community center is located at 24932 Veterans Way.
