Save the date for 2017 Arts Alive & Street Painting Festival

Planning is underway for the 2017 Arts Alive & Street Painting Festival this spring.

This dynamic festival will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 at the Oso Viejo Community Park on the Village Green and neighboring Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

With a “Lights, Camera  Action!” theme, this year's festival will feature a cornucopia of fun – arts and crafts, musical performances as well as amazing street paintings brought to life by incredible artists traveling to Mission Viejo from near and far. The two-day event includes an array of tasty fare and beverages along with cool activities for kids.

In addition, finalists of the Mission Viejo Film Composer Competition will be presented in concert with a live orchestra at 7 p.m. on April 29 inside the Murray Center.

Stay tuned to https://cityofmissionviejo.org for details and mark your calendar for a spectacular Mission Viejo weekend April 29-30. (See a clip of the excitement.)

There is some on-site parking, but to minimize walking the free shuttle is probably the best option. The shuttle will run continuously between the Civic Center and the Community Center from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm both days (approximately every 20 minutes).

The food served at these events, especially meats, like KABOBS are unhealthy and taste terrible. Mostly overcooked and over spiced to conceal the poor quality meat. Often these foods are left in open displays for flies to land on. Disgusting and a possible state health violation.
