Koda is a strong and loyal dog
Koda is a 3-year-old Anatolian Shepherd. Most people haven't heard of this unique breed, but it has been around since ancient times. In fact, artifacts dating back to 2000 B.C. describe a dog in the Anatolian region fitting this shepherd's description.
These dogs were bred to guard livestock from predators, so it's in their nature to protect their family. The Anatolian Shepherd is rugged and independent but also intelligent, patient and profoundly loyal. Koda is a typical Anatolian. His owners must be strong leaders, able to handle a dog as demanding as he is calm and loving. Because of his size, Koda will need a home with space to stretch his legs or at least an owner who is dedicated to giving him consistent daily exercise.
Meet Koda at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest. His adoption fee is only $20 for an approved applicant.
