Veterans sought for Mission for the Armed Forces Football Game
U.S. Military veterans listen up! Mission Viejo High School is currently seeking veterans and active duty personnel to honor at the sixth annual Mission for the Armed Forces (MAF) football game on September 28.
Selected nominees and their families will receive a pre-game dinner, reserved seating, and will be honored by the varsity team during the game. Each veteran will be paired up with a varsity football player who will wear the name of the veteran on the back of his jersey instead of his own.
MAF is open to all veterans and active duty personnel for the U.S. Military who have not been honored at a previous MAF game. The honoree must have a connection to Mission Viejo, as a resident; through work; having a friend/family member studying or working at Mission Viejo High School; or being alumni.
Anyone may nominate a veteran or themselves through the MAF Veteran Registration Site.
The event is free for the honored veterans and the public is invited to attend. Mission Viejo High School is located at 25025 Chrisanta Drive. Watch this video for highlights on last year's game.
