Voting underway for City's inaugural Scarecrow Contest

scarecrows

You can't miss them. Hay-stuffed figures sporting costumes - some spooky, some not - placed around town for the City's inaugural Scarecrow Contest.

The scarecrows were made by local nonprofits, schools, faith-based organizations and the Chamber of Commerce. They'll be on display until mid-November.

You can help crown the winning scarecrows by voting for your favorites that are placed at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center online at https://cityofmissionviejo.org/scarecrows.  Cash prizes donated by the Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts will go to the winners of the following categories:

  • Most Humorous
  • Spookiest
  • Best Traditional
  • People's Choice

Voting ends at noon on November 3, so cast your vote today!  #mvscarecrows

Congratulations on an absolutely wonderful NEW tradition for Mission Viejo. All the entries were fabulous, so creative, amusing and entertaining. I/we thoroughly enjoyed them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Loved them all. So difficult to choose favorites for the categories.

Very Creative and Fun! Love the spirit of our community. I have to say Head Over Heals was my favorite.
