Save the date for one-of-a-kind audiobook presentation Feb. 10 with Beau L’Amour, Scott Brick and Jason Culp

Scott Brick, Beau L’Amour, Jason Culp

Beau L’Amour, son of the iconic Western writer Louis L’Amour, will join popular audiobook narrator Scott Brick and actor Jason Culp for a special presentation in Mission Viejo on Sunday, February 10.

Louis L’Amour’s never-before-published first novel “No Traveler Returns” is now available on audio for the first time alongside “Yondering,” a newly recorded collection of short stories featuring archival audio introductions from L’Amour himself.

Beau L’Amour, who completed his father’s novel, and narrators Scott Brick (“No Traveler Returns”) and Jason Culp (“Yondering”), will give listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the publication of these two audiobooks from the people closest to the project. Beau will share how he rediscovered the novel, inspired by his father’s real-life adventures, and is bringing it to readers and listeners for the first time. Scott, a Grammy nominee, and Jason, who acted on soap operas “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital,” will detail how audio-books are produced, from casting to the hours spent in the recording studio.

This fascinating and unique presentation is at 3 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center Drive. To reserve your seat, call 949-830-7100, ext. 5105.

Unfortunately I am unable to attend this special event as I live in Nashville. Will copies be available to purchase that day? I have a friend who lives in San Diego and will see if she can go for me. Otherwise, when will copies of these two audiobooks be available for purchase online? I am an RN and I have a patient with advanced ALS and another disabled veteran who just loves your dad’s books but cannot hold or read the books anymore. These new audiobooks would be perfect for them!
