Community outreach diving program returns to Mission Viejo
The Mission Viejo Nadadores Diving Team is once again offering the summer community outreach program dubbed Discover a Diver.
The 16-lesson series is funded by a $4,000 grant from USA Diving, the national governing body for the sport. This is the second year of the unique program that identifies underserved children and teaches them the sport of diving.
Youth ages 8-18 can apply to receive the free training and participate in two-hour lessons on Saturdays starting May 4 at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex. The program ends with a fun competition on Saturday, August 17.
After seeing the success of last year's diving program, its founder offered to increase funding for Mission Viejo, so the club could expand classes to the 2019 season.

I have an 8 year old step…
I have an 8 year old step daughter that stays with us every other weekend. Would she still be able to participate in this program? Unfortunately she is not here every Saturday. She is not a strong swimmer. I was just wondering about all the requirements before I tried to sign her up for this Dive Program.
Thank you,
Laura
