Compete in Tennis Tournament March 30-31 for a good cause

Marguerite Tennis Pavilion

The City of Mission Viejo is gearing up to host the Konrad Reuland Charity Tennis Tournament March 30- 31 at the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion.

Konrad played football at Mission Viejo High School, graduated from Stanford University and played in the NFL for the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens. He passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2016. An amazing young man in life and death. Through successful organ and tissue donations, Konrad helped save and improve the lives of more than 75 people.

This event honors Konrad but is also designed to raise awareness of organizations benefiting others.  Proceeds from the tennis tournament will benefit the Konrad A. Reuland “Little” Scholarship, which awards funds a Big Brothers Big Sisters program for kids with aspirations of playing collegiate sports. Proceeds will also benefit the Lisa Colagrossi Foundation, which spreads awareness and support for brain aneurysm research and education.

Participants can sign up for round-robin doubles play in men’s, women’s or mixed doubles at the 3.0/3.5 or 4.0/4.5 levels. The event also includes a girls and boys high school doubles division. Each division will play on only one of the two tournament days. Use the links below to register for the event online:

Entry fee is $30 per person and $60 per team. Participants can even sign up as a single, and the tournament committee will find them a partner! For more information, contact Tournament Director Dave Borelli at dborelli@cityofmissionviejo.org or at 949 470-8429.
