To help Mission Viejo residents and businesses dispose of sensitive documents like tax records, bank statements and legal documents safely and securely, Waste Management is hosting four document shredding events this year, with the first set for Saturday, February 2 at Mission Viejo High School.

Bring up to 10 bags or boxes of sensitive materials to drop off in the school parking lot at 25025 Chrisanta Drive from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Binders and notebooks will not be accepted.

The second event takes place on Saturday, April 6, with the last two planned sometime in the summer and fall. Stay tuned for more details.

If you do not have documents in boxes, it is fine to place them in plastic trash bags to bring to the shred event.

Yes it is okay to put documents to be shredded in trash bags instead of boxes.

The event is rain or shine.
