From toddlers and teens to kids in between, the City of Mission Viejo is offering a host of fun, creative youth programs this winter at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. Register today for the following programs:

Kindergarten Express
Led by Mrs. K, this class helps children age 4-5 gain confidence before entering kindergarten by expressing creative ideas as they engage in activities that teach letter formation, reading and numbers. The program is on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from January 10-31 and from February 7-28. Cost is $65 per session. Marine Animals: Amazing Water World!
This is a fun, hands-on biology workshop for kids ages 5-12 that teaches them about different marine animals like starfish, fish, clam, shrimp and many others. Your child will perform cool biology experiments and activities. The program takes place on Mondays at 4 p.m. January 9 through February 27. Cost is $100 plus a $40 lab fee payable to the instructor. Mixed-and-Match Biology
Enjoy this fun and hands-on biology workshop for kids! These mix-and-match topics have never been unrelated but are still interesting to learn. Kids age 5-12 learn about food biology, digestion system, decomposers and water creatures. The program is on Mondays at 5:15 p.m. January 9 through February 27. Art with Mrs. Keady

These fun classes will teach students to appreciate the basic concept of art while creating masterpieces they will be proud of. Art supplies are provided. The classes, which cater to kids 6-12, take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $60.

After-School Sewing Kids/Teens

Learn sewing basics, fabric selection, how to follow a pattern and complete amazing projects in class. All fabrics, notions and sewing machines are supplied. This fun class caters to age 8 and older and takes place Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $145 plus a $35 lab fee payable to the instructor.

Human Body: We are Super II
Learn about our amazing human body from your thumb, heart, eyes and lungs to your sense of smell and more. Your child will perform dissections, cool biology experiments and activities. This program caters to ages 11-14 and takes place on Wednesdays at 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. from January 11 through February 1. Cost is $80 plus a $40 lab fee payable to the instructor. Mix-and-Match Biology II
In this fun class, kids age 11-14 will learn about plants, insects, human genetics, animals and the ecosystem. Your child will perform dissections, awesome biology experiments and activities. This program caters to ages 11-14 and takes place on Wednesdays at 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. from February 8 through March 1.  Cost is $80 plus a $40 lab fee payable to the instructor.
