Help protect you or your loved one from “Identity Theft, Fraud and Scams Targeting Senior Citizens” by attending a special presentation on March 4.

Hosted by Mission Viejo Police Services as part of the Stay Safe Orange County campaign, this free seminar is from 6:30-8 pm at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Lt. Gene Inouye, a longtime fraud investigator and current Laguna Woods Chief of Police Services, will lead the discussion about fraud, identity theft, ATM skimming, caregiver crimes and common scams. The need for this seminar is certainly there. In fact, approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60+ have experienced some form of elder abuse, according to the National Council on Aging.

Due to limited seating, RSVP is required. To reserve your spot for this free program, contact Mission Viejo Crime Prevention at crimeprevention@cityofmissionviejo.org or 949-470-8433.
