Help your neighbors by donating much-needed hygiene products
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to impact our community, the City of Mission Viejo is seeking donations of hygiene items urgently needed for local charities helping people in need.
The most-needed hygiene items include:
- Soap bars
- Shampoo
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Toothpaste
- Disposable razors and shaving cream
- Feminine hygiene product
- Laundry detergent; toilet paper
- Umbrellas/rain products
- Fast-food cards
(Please note: No clothing, shoes or blankets)
The City has designated two convenient drop-off points with donation boxes at the front entrance of the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center (24932 Veterans Way) and Mission Viejo Civic Center City Hall lobby at 200 Civic Center. All donations will benefit the Orange County Rescue Mission and StandUP For Kids. See this flier for hours of operation.

Are you accepting donations…
Are you accepting donations of partially used shampoos and hair products? I have a bunch of them that I found had ingredients I am allergic to. Nothing wrong with them, but I cannot use them. They obviously would NOT be factory-sealed.

What are the days and times donations can be dropped off at NPM and Civic Center?
Hygience items can be…
Hygience items can be dropped off during normal business hours, M-F 8 am to 5 pm. The box at City Hall is located inside the lobby - you can enter through the sliding glass doors. At the Norman P. Murray Community Center, the box is located at the entrance. Staff is retrieving items from the boxes multiple times a day.
