The Inaugural Paws Creek Classic Golf Tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 5, has been POSTPONED due to the forecasted rain. The tournament has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 21.

Attention all golfers! 

Join us for the Paws Creek Classic Inaugural Golf Tournament on May 21. This fundraiser will be held at the newly remodeled and beautiful Oso Creek Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit our center. This will be a fun and exciting event that you shouldn't miss!

Benji is a 5-year-old American Bully, which is a lesser-known breed that resembles a Staffordshire Terrier but has short legs. Benji is a sweet and mellow dog who was unfortunately surrendered to the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center because his owners are moving. His former family said he is friendly with other people and dogs.

Benji enjoys sunbathing, chewing on bones, and running after tennis balls. Since he is extremely loyal and loving, he would make an excellent companion. Thanks to DAWG, his adoption fee is only $20 to an approved applicant.

The Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) provides medical care and helping hands to comfort sick, injured, neglected and frightened animals that come to the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center until they can be reunited with their families or adopted if abandoned.  

DAWG is offering the public an opportunity to support the nonprofit this holiday season with a tax-deductible donation to help decorate a Virtual Holiday Tree in the DAWG House. 

Give a pet in need something to be thankful for this holiday season - a home. Through Thanksgiving, all cats and kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs will go home with approved applicants for only $20, the cost of the microchip.

Sponsored by the nonprofit DAWG, this "Thankful Fur a Home" adoption promotion provides the perfect opportunity to add a furry family member to your home.

National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week kicks off today to recognize shelters and hard-working people providing care to millions of displaced animals in America.   

Proudly serving five cities, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, which is a pro-humane shelter, finds new homes for homeless pets but also rescues injured and abused animals; transfers injured wildlife to rehabilitation facilities; reunites lost pets with their families; educates our residents about animal care; and much more.    

Meet Animal Control Officer Adrian Enriquez!

In September, Mission Viejo Animal Services visited the San Bernardino Animal Shelter to assist with dogs that were part of a hoarding case in their area. While walking around the facility, ACO Stewart caught a glimpse of a tiny 4-pound chihuahua in the corner of one of the kennels. Although we were there to focus on different dogs that day, we could not leave this tiny little guy behind - and there is always room for one more.

In an effort to help homeless animals find their forever homes, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is offering a unique adoption promotion combining furry friends and fitness. 

For every pet adopted this month, the adopter will receive a one-day guest pass valid for the Montanoso or Sierra Recreation and Fitness Centers courtesy of our Recreation Department. 

Meet Kuri, a 6-year-old mixed-breed dog. She is likely a retriever mixed with Shar-Pei or chow, but her personality is all retriever. She is fun, active and loves meeting new people and seems to enjoy other dogs. She was rescued from the El Dorado fire area when our crew was asked to help empty their kennels for evacuees from the fire. 

The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center on Saturday, October 23 will host a drive-through low-cost pet vaccination clinic for Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and Laguna Hills residents.

The clinic is from 8:30 to 10 am at 28095 Hillcrest.
