California provides resources and guides pre-permit teens (ages 14-17)
and their parents through many important driving topics.

  • Risks and responsibilities of driving
  • Parent's role in the learning process
  • How to pick a safe vehicle
  • What to look for in a driving school

'Tis the season for spooky fun and tasty tea! This holiday-themed tea party will feature a fun and festive atmosphere with themed book trivia, book talks, and a book exchange. Bring a wrapped copy of your favorite scary (or not-so-scary) book. Costumes highly encouraged!

Come practice your reading skills with adoptable dogs and other animals waiting for a home at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

This is a great opportunity to practice literacy skills while experiencing the joy of animal companionship. A selection of books will be available, but feel free to bring your own to share with a furry friend.

Join us for an evening of exploration into the lost art of letter writing a la Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." While not a calligraphy class, it is, rather, an opportunity to get into the habit of writing REAL letters, like they did in 1813. Pens and stationery will be provided. Part of the Jane Austen series of programs.
