Join us for an evening of stories and activities to honor Día de los Muertos. Learn about this remarkable holiday and its traditions through this special program in our Storytime Room.
 

This FREE workshop hosted by the Automobile Club of Southern
California provides resources and guides pre-permit teens (ages 14-17)
and their parents through many important driving topics.

Workshop topics include:

• Graduated Driver Licensing components
• Risks and responsibilities of driving
• Parent's role in the learning process
• How to pick a safe vehicle
• What to look for in a driving school

Free resources and giveaways for all teens in attendance.

Join us for tricks and treats at the Mission Viejo Library! Visit Halloween treat and activity stations throughout the library on Saturday, October 28 from 10 am to 2 pm (while supplies last). Costumes Welcome!

The Mission Viejo Library is happy to present Julie Seales as she talks about her debut novel, "A Most Agreeable Murder." This free event will be held in the Council Chamber at 6 pm on Thursday, October 5.

This is part of a series of Jane Austen Ball themed programs.

Want to attend the Jane Austen Ball in Regency finery, but don't have the pin-money for a custom ball gown? Learn how to fake a Regency outfit with a modern wardrobe at the Get the Austen Look program!

'Tis the season for spooky fun and tasty tea! This holiday-themed tea party will feature a fun and festive atmosphere with themed book trivia, book talks, and a book exchange. Bring a wrapped copy of your favorite scary (or not-so-scary) book. Costumes highly encouraged!

Come practice your reading skills with adoptable dogs and other animals waiting for a home at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

This is a great opportunity to practice literacy skills while experiencing the joy of animal companionship. A selection of books will be available, but feel free to bring your own to share with a furry friend.

Looking for a casual place to play Mah Jongg or people to play with? Bring your tiles and play with others who love the game!

Join us for an evening of exploration into the lost art of letter writing a la Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." While not a calligraphy class, it is, rather, an opportunity to get into the habit of writing REAL letters, like they did in 1813. Pens and stationery will be provided. Part of the Jane Austen series of programs.
