Come celebrate building community through creativity at the Mission Viejo Poetry + Art Collaborative exhibit and reception! Launched by the Mission Viejo Library in March, the Poetry + Art Collaborative is an interactive project that highlights our community's creativity and brings people together through literature and art.

Community members were invited to submit an original poem or create a piece of visual art inspired by one of the poems submitted by their fellow participants. The writers and artists will meet face-to-face for the first time at the reception!

Join the Orange County Fatherhood Coalition for a presentation on supporting fathers and fatherhood engagement.

Children are welcome to attend and enjoy games and crafts while caregivers enjoy the presentation.

Join First 5 Orange County for a mental health presentation focusing on the emotional well-being of pregnant women and their families.

Children are welcome to attend and enjoy games and crafts while caregivers enjoy the presentation.

Come learn about how the library works and enjoy fun activities led by Girl Scout Troop 8590! Pick up a map and learn how to locate items, participate in a scavenger hunt, and write a book recommendation for other young patrons.

All ages.

Kids and animal lovers are invited to experience a fun and “paw-some” time from 3:30-4:30 pm on Thursday, June 22 at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

Join the Science Heads STEM team in a discussion of NASA's upcoming Psyche mission. The presentation will cover the goals, objectives, and challenges of the mission.

Audience members should also prepare for some fun "” as prizes will be awarded for pop and science asteroid trivia!

No reservations needed. Free for all ages.

Come practice your reading skills with adoptable dogs and other animals waiting for a home at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center. This is a great opportunity to practice literacy skills while experiencing the joy of animal companionship. A selection of books will be available, but feel free to bring your own to share with a furry friend.

Launched by the Mission Viejo Library in March, the Poetry + Art Collaborative is an interactive project that highlights our community’s creativity and brings people together through literature and art. 

International bestselling author Anita Abriel will discuss her latest book "The Life She Wanted" on Wednesday, June 28. 

Part of the City's popular Writers Present program, the event starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.  

“The Life She Wanted” is the captivating story of Pandora Carmichael, a young woman growing up among the elite upper class of 1920s New York, a time when fortunes were made and a woman's dreams challenged against all odds.  

Shop bargains and support the Mission Viejo Library at the Friends of the Library’s two-day Summer Book Sale this Friday and Saturday, June 9-10. 

The sale takes place near the front entrance of the library at 100 Civic Center. Stop by on Friday, between 1-4:30 pm or Saturday, between 10 am-4 pm.
