The City has always embraced its world-class sports facilities and Olympic spirit. Join Mayor Brian Goodell, an Olympic gold medalist, as he discusses the past, present, and future of Mission Viejo’s relationship with the Olympics on March 26. He will talk about his experience as an athlete in the 1976 Montreal games; events that took place in Mission Viejo during 1984 Los Angeles Games; and Mission Viejo’s possible involvement in the 2028 games in Los Angeles.

Join the Heritage Committee, in collaboration with the Mission Viejo Diversity + Inclusion Task Force for a presentation on the history of Mission Viejo that focuses on the ideals of community and inclusiveness. Revisit events of the past and learn how they played a role in creating togetherness and community pride.

This panel of six local romantic comedy writers - Melanie Jacobson, Summer Dowell, Brittany Larsen, Gigi Blume, Julie Christianson, and Savannah Scott - will present their most recent books and discuss the inspiration behind the stories. They are bound to get you in the Valentine's Day spirit. 
 
Books will be sold onsite and signed after the main program. Prizes will be awarded to a few lucky audience members.

Homebound Books-By-Mail is a free service that delivers library materials through the US Postal Service to eligible homebound residents in Mission Viejo who are unable to visit the library because of temporary or long-term mobility issues, health, or disability barriers.

Come test your math knowledge with fun and challenging puzzles and word problems! This hour long program will feature active discussions and student presentations for kids in grades 2 through 6.

Kosuke Nishimori is a certified math teacher with over a decade of teaching experience. He currently runs Math Challenge classes through the ACE programs in Irvine Unified School District.
