If you want to see, feel and learn about an important part of our nation’s history, head to the Mission Viejo Library to “Find the Pilgrim in You.”

Calling all parents of kids in grades 1-6: Join us at 6:30 pm Thursday, January 30 in the City Hall Saddleback Room to learn strategies that will build your child’s literacy skills and boost their reading confidence! Led by reading specialist Carol Lloyd, this interactive workshop will provide you with practical tips and tricks for helping your child develop a lifelong love of literacy.

While you are in the workshop, your child can participate in a hands-on STEM activity in the Library’s Storytime Room. 

Mark your calendar for the first Writers Present program of 2020 featuring bestselling author Elizabeth Letts on Wednesday, January 15.

The Mission Viejo Library and Palmia Literary Groups are teaming up to host the 6:30 pm program at the Palmia Clubhouse, 21455 Monterey.

Vendor applications are $25. Payment due upon acceptance. Vendors will be provided 1 E-Z UP, 1 table, 2 chairs, and 1 table cloth.

Mark your calendar for the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library's Holiday Book Sale on Monday, November 25 from 10 am to 7 pm in the Heritage Room near the library's entrance at 100 Civic Center Drive. 

Thousands of nearly new materials for all ages will be on sale including holiday-themed books; coffee table books; DVDs, CDs, records and cookbooks. Prices begin as low as $.25, with cash and credit cards (purchases over $5) accepted for payment.

So, be sure to stock up on holiday gifts and support the Mission Viejo Library!

Have you been to the Mission Viejo Library lately? While there grabbing a book or enjoying the vast resources, check out the impressive artwork on display in the library gallery by Mona Shehabi and Evie Priefer.

Mona Shehabi is a trained architect whose art was influenced by her Palestinian heritage and the American passion for quilting.

Crafts, science, brick building and more! Come by the library after school and make your own creation. 

Attendance is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
