Join us in your own backyard for the Mission Viejo Holiday Mix and Mingle event, which has everything but figgy pudding.

The spectacular holiday fun takes place on Saturday, December 16 from 5 to 9 pm at 25282 Marguerite Parkway and 200 Civic Center. Mix and mingle between the two locations on the path or take a short ride on a golf cart.

Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to brighten their neighborhoods by competing in the Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest. Homes must be decorated and applications submitted to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee by 5 pm on Friday, December 1.

Homes will be judged based on categories including Most Creative Use of Lights; Most Creative Theme; Most Traditional/Festive; Religious Theme; New Kids on the Block; Showstopper; and Light Up Your Neighborhood Award.

The City of Mission Viejo's annual Veterans Day observance is on Saturday, November 11 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center in Veterans Plaza next to the facility entrance.

The outdoor ceremony will begin at 2 pm and include keynote speaker Colonel Matthew D. Lundgren, Commanding Officer of Headquarter Battalion, First Marine Division and guest speaker retired Army veteran Jessica Foat of Be Well OC.  

Santa Claus is coming to town on Sunday, November 26!

Grab your kids, friends and neighbors and head to the Mission Viejo Civic Center Courtyard (200 Civic Center) for this time-honored celebration that begins at 3 pm. The free event features fun interactive activities, a petting zoo and live entertainment for all to enjoy. Santa will arrive atop a fire engine at 6 pm and help usher in the holidays by turning on the spectacular festive lights in Mission Viejo.
