The Marine Adoption Committee joins forces with the Mission Viejo Community Foundation, City of Mission Viejo, local residents, organizations and businesses to provide year-round support to Mission Viejo's Marines and Sailors.

Throughout the year the Committee receives requests for assistance from the Battalion, and recently they asked to help expecting Marines and Sailors with baby supplies. The Marine Adoption Committee is beginning to assemble large baby baskets with essential baby supplies such as diapers, shampoo, lotion, wipes, pacifiers, bibs and more.

The Mission Viejo Senior Leadership Committee is hosting their first annual Second Time Around Jewelry and Accessories sale August 18-19 at the Norman P. Murray Center.

The sale takes place on Friday, August 18 from 1 to 5 pm and Saturday, August 19 from 9 am to 2 pm. New items will be added on the second day. All proceeds benefit senior services in Mission Viejo.

Do your kids enjoy crafts, games, sports, themed events, and simply having fun?  Then register today for Kids Factory, which returns for the 2023/24 school year on August 14.    

Kids Factory, which runs through next May, is $860 for the entire school year and is offered at every Saddleback Valley Unified School District and Capistrano Valley Unified School District elementary school in Mission Viejo. Full and partial scholarships are available. 

This Night Market has a patriotic "Stars and Stripes" theme and will feature two special performances by The Swing Dolls - a 1940s style vocal trio who performs around the country at patriotic-themed shows for towns and military bases. The dynamic all-girls group will perform two 15-minute shows between 7:30 and 8:30 pm.

Singer-songwriter Ana Carvalho combines a variety of genres together from R&B to Indie Pop, and many more. Born and raised in Brazil, she adds a touch of Bossa Nova to modern styles and also incorporates it in her original music. Ana's acoustic performances include songs for all generations and styles to enjoy.

Restoration Road is a four person indie-rock, pop band with soul, folk and country influences based in Orange County. The band formed in 2017 from a collection of local "internationals" who met at a songwriter group.
