The September 15 Community Services Commission Meeting has been cancelled.

Regular meetings of the Community Services Commission are held on the third Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chamber, Mission Viejo City Hall, 200 Civic Center. In accordance with State law, all regular Commission meetings that fall on specified holidays are automatically held on the next business day. Local nonprofit organizations are sought to benefit from the City's 2020 Oso Fit 5K Fun Run, which provides 100% of pre-registration fees to local nonprofits selected by participants.  

Held during the Community Health Fair, the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run raised more than $10,000 last year to help nonprofits achieve their financial goals.  Organizations include PTAs/PTOs, booster clubs, community volunteer groups and others.

Calling all kids ages 8-13! If you want to develop grit, shoot a basketball and win forever bragging rights, then enter the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest.

Hosted by the Mission Viejo-Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444, the Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest is at 10 am on December 29 in the main gymnasium at El Toro High School, 25255 Toledo Way.

Beginning at local Elks Lodges, winning contestants advance through District, State, Regional and National competitions. The program is free to all contestants.

Sunny skies are in the forecast for the 12th Round-Robin Doubles Pickleball Social at the Sierra Recreation Center on Saturday, December 14. 

All players are guaranteed four 30-minute matches against different players in a true round-robin format.  Players change partners after each round.

Gift cards can be purchased at the Montanoso Recreation Center, 25800 Montanoso Drive, and are good for any recreation and tennis membership, class or drop-in fee.  Folks can also use the cards for any program or purchase at the Recreation and Tennis Centers, Library, Norman P. Murray Center or Potocki Center for the Arts.

Did you know Age Well Senior Services offers a Senior Center Lunch program serving hot, nutritious meals to active older adults at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center? 

Indeed. Lunches are served Monday through Friday (excluding observed holidays) from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.
