Beautiful Bandit needs a new home

Bandit

Are you looking for a declawed cat? Bandit is a 2-year-old domestic short-haired kitty who has been living at the shelter for two months.  He is affectionate, chatty and laid-back and has become one of our specially treated residents.

Many states throughout the country have outlawed declawing practices due to the invasive nature of the procedure as well as the negative behavioral side-effects. By removing a cat's defense mechanism such as their claws, cats will rely on biting as their primary way of defending themselves or their territory.  Bandit is sweet-natured at heart, but he does not like to feel cornered or vulnerable.

For this reason, Bandit has been given an entire playroom to live where he can explore, play and feel less threatened when staff or visitors approach him.  If you are interested in this low-maintenance, mellow and declawed cat, visit Mission Viejo Animal Services to meet Bandit and fill out an adoption application.  His discounted adoption fee includes his microchip, vaccines and flea control - all for $20.

For more information, call 949-470-3045. (Information about other adoptable animals is available at this link.)

Is this kitty still available? I live in a townhome, and he would be inside full time. My kitty was just put down due to a tumor on his right cheek from Squamous cell carcinoma. I have an 8 year old son and we would love a new pet.
