Donnie is great young dog that deserves a forever home
Mission Viejo Animal Services recently rescued a young dog named Donnie that was about to be euthanized because he was the longest resident at a high-intake shelter.
“We think the staff and volunteers at that shelter really loved this dog, so they kept giving him chances at being adopted,” said Director of Animal Services Brynn Lavison. “Sadly, however, as of November his time was running out, so as soon as we heard about him, we transported him to our center for a second chance at adoption.”
Likely an Australian Cattle Dog and German Shepherd mix, Donnie is about 3 years old and is an all-around great dog. He loves other dogs and would probably be fine living with kids. He would make a great walking or hiking partner because he loves exercise but will walk nicely by your side.
At only 40 pounds, Donnie is a nice size, too. MVAS wants to ensure that Donnie does not spend another four months in a shelter, so stop by and meet Donnie today. He will make an excellent canine addition to your family!
