composting

UPDATE: This workshop is at capacity. We will be hosting another composting workshop in the spring of 2021.

The City and Waste Management are teaming up to host a free composting workshop at 10 am on Saturday, October 3 in the Kershaw Garden at Mission Viejo City Hall.

Residents can learn how to turn their yard and food waste into organic fertilizer through traditional composting or vermi-composting.

Compost and vermi-composting containers will be available for Mission Viejo residents to buy or order with discounted bins provided to folks who register and attend the workshop. Participants must wear a face mask, and chairs will be spaced to adhere with social distancing guidelines.

Registration is limited and required for this free workshop.  City Hall is located at 200 Civic Center.

To register, contact Hazel McIntosh at 949-470-8458 or greenmv@cityofmissionviejo.org.
