Kids invited to participate in new ‘Books and Barks’ program June 22

kid reading to dog

Kids and animal lovers are invited to experience a fun and “paw-some” time from 3:30-4:30 pm on Thursday, June 22 at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

Hosted by the Mission Viejo Library and Animal Services, “Books and Barks” is designed for kids age 6 and older to practice their reading skills by reading out loud to dogs currently available for adoption at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center. Kids can bring their own favorite book, choose from books brought by library staff or the MVAS Little Free Bookstore to read to our furry friends. This is a great opportunity to practice literacy skills while also experiencing the joy of animal companionship.

The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center located at 28095 Hillcrest.
