Next Document Shredding event set for Nov. 14
NOTE: The document shredding event originally scheduled for November 7 has been postponed due to predicted rain. The new date is November 14.
Mission Viejo residents and businesses can destroy their sensitive documents during the next free drive-through Document Shredding event on Saturday, November 7.
Hosted by the City and Waste Management, the event is from 9-11 am in the Mission Viejo City Hall parking lot at 200 Civic Center.
Shredding documents with personal or financial information helps prevent identity theft.
Residents and businesses can bring up to five banker-size file boxes (24” wide x 12” high) of paper records for immediate shredding. Documents and boxes must be free of binders, paper clips, plastic sleeves and metal butterfly clips. (CDs, credit cards, three-ring binders, wire dividers, newspapers, magazines and spiral notebooks will NOT be accepted.)
For safety reasons, folks are asked to wear a face mask and remain in their vehicles until served.
