Open your heart and home to these special cats
Two extremely sweet, special cats are waiting for their forever homes this holiday season.
Both cats are friendly and loving but have special needs. Ashley May, a 1-year-old domestic kitty, was born without upper eyelids making her vision slightly less than perfect. She needs a lifetime of over-the-counter artificial tears to keep her eyes lubricated. However, this does not slow her down. In fact, she is an active, fun and cuddly cat who just needs a calm, stable home. She will do great once she learns the layout of her new home.
Edna is a 9-year-old partially deaf Maine Coon cat. She is charming, quirky and chatty. A lap cat, she would love any home where she can snuggle.
Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) is sponsoring both cats during the “Home for the Meowlidays” adoption promotion, so they will each go home with an approved applicant for $20. Meet them today at 28095 Hillcrest. For more information, contact 949-470-3045.
I am interested in Edna but never had a Maine Coon Cat. Are there any special instructions for taking care of a Maine Coon Cat.
We had a Maine Coon. They are SO SWEET! They are big cats & have long hair, so more brushing, but no special instructions. I would about her myself, but we have 2 cats & often (including now) have our daughter's 2 while she travels. 4 cats & 5 guests all staying with us! Happy Holidays & good luck.
Edna was adopted and went home with her new family in late December. You can check the MV Animal Services Center website for an up-to-date listing of the available animals at our shelter: https://cityofmissionviejo.org/departments/animal-services/adopt/find-p….
