Summer Fairy Home Building Workshop

Bring magic to your world for summer! Build your own personalized summer-themed fairy home for your home or garden. All materials supplied including pixie dust, so just bring your imagination! Cost is $35 plus a $10 material fee due to the instructor for age 5 and older. The class is from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 13. (Course #35722)

Intro to Mosaics

Have fun learning to make a mosaic pot or picture frame with artist Melanie Ellis. Shape ceramic tiles and glass with nippers; bond and grout to finish. Cost is $55 for age 14 and older. This class is from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. (Course #35740)

Beginning Jewelry Making

This introduction to jewelry making covers basic techniques working with tools and beading materials. Participants enjoy creating “do-it-yourself” bracelets, earrings, pendants and necklaces. Sunburst Hanging Mirror Workshop

Create a stylish eco-chic hanging mirror featuring a striking sunburst shape made from upcycled and vintage paper. Display in your home or give as a gift. All supplies provided. Geode & Gem “Pulp-Stone” Pendant Workshop

Create stunning, one-of-a-kind wearable works of art using recycled paper “Pulp Stones” and colorful glass crystals. These realistic yet fantastical geode or gem-style pendants are lightweight, beautiful and sure to impress. All supplies provided, just bring your imagination. The Influence of Color

Learn how colors evoke appropriate emotional reactions using lighting, clothing, artwork, photography, room colors and other surroundings. Experience your emotional reaction to light color changes. Cost is $35 plus a $5 material fee due to the instructor for age 18 and older. This class is from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. (Course #35953)

Young Rembrandts If You Give A Mouse A Cookie

Each day, we read a book from this classic children’s book series and then work together on drawings inspired by the story. Cost is $79 for ages 4-7. This class is on Tuesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. July 30 to August 27. (Course #35956)

Digital Photography 101

Learn digital photography-menus, resolution, ISO, shutter and how to shoot portraits, sports and night scenes. Bring your camera and its manual. Cost is $70 for age 16 and older. This class is from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 30 to August 27. (Course #35842)

iPhone Photography

Learn everything you need to know to maximize your iPhone photos and videos. Focus, exposure, flash, HDR, panoramas, accessories and apps are discussed. Cost is $35 for age 16 and older. This class is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. (Course #35843)

Shoot Better Digital Photos

This hands-on workshop ends the confusion about your camera’s menus, focusing flash, ISO and more. Learn to shoot photographs – not snapshots! Bring a charged camera and manual. Cost is $45 for age 16 and older. This class is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. (Course #35845)

Ceramic Jewelry Box Workshop

Adults will create a jewelry box using a clay soft-slab technique and learn how to throw a pot on potter’s wheel as well as glaze beautiful art pieces. Cost is $40 plus a $10 material fee due to the instructor for age 18 and older. This class is from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 and July 20. (Course #35849)

Early Childhood Art and Book Reading

Children will enjoy a book reading by local author Deborah Sherrell and create a special painting to take home. (A caregiver is required in this class that is free for ages 3-9.) It takes place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 20. (Course #35959)

Girl-Powered Intro to Steam Using Lego

This course provides a supportive environment for girls who love to build! These engineer-designed projects include trains, helicopters, treehouses, beam bridges and more. Cost is $165 for ages 5-7. This camp is from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 29 to August 2. (Course #29739)
