Public input sought on City capital improvement projects March 19

city seal

The public is invited to provide input on the City's capital improvement projects during the Community Services Commission's meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

The City has identified several capital improvement (CIP) projects that are under review for prioritization by the Community Services Commission, which serves as an advisory board to the Council.

The City's (CIP) provides for the construction, improvement and maintenance of various public facilities. The program makes Mission Viejo a better place to live, work, play and traverse. The goal is to have the prioritized projects ready to go as funding becomes available.

On Tuesday, March 19, the Commission will develop and potentially vote on a prioritized list.  Folks who want to weigh in should attend this meeting or contact the Recreation & Community Services Department in advance at RCS@cityofmissionviejo.org or 949-470-3061.

Consider the Recreation and Senior Centers when it comes to capital improvements. They are truly gems for MV residents, but, like every asset must be upgraded and kept current to maintain relevance for city residents. I've been a resident of MV for 49 years and have seen the many improvements over the years to the Centers. But because they can cater to ALL residents (unlike the "Natadores" swim complex) it's imperative they be kept first rate!
