Sweet Rickie is special in every way

Rickie

During the Clear the Shelters event at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center this Saturday, August 17, an extremely special dog will be available for adoption.

Rickie, a 1 ½ year-old pit-bull terrier, is hoping to meet a family as special as he is. This dog is truly distinctive because he absolutely loves everyone he meets - kids, cats and other dogs. He's big, handsome and athletic, but what really makes him special is the fact that he was born with a condition called mega-esophagus.  This means he must eat a certain way and needs a couple medications every day.  The family fostering Rickie will confirm this is not a big deal and is a small sacrifice for the endless love and happiness Rickie will give you in return.

Meet sweet Rickie this Saturday at 11 am at the Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest. Like the other animals, he will go home with an approved applicant for $20.

I am Rickie's foster mom. He is a joy to foster. However, I would love for Rickie to find his furever home. He would do best with another dog in the home. He loves his foster brother Spike.
