I think the problem is the hedge, bushes and tree at the corner. The hedge is frequently too tall to see over, the bushes/flowers aren't trimmed and blocks the sight line further down the road. If the hedge and vegetation were removed drivers would be able to see back down the road as originally built and intended. There are intersections all over Mission Viejo like this where decades of landscape growth has blocked sight lines.

I agree with Sean. The issue is overgrown vegetation obstructing the on coming traffic. I take this route frequently and the last thing I want to do is wait for another full traffic cycle to make a right turn. Trim the bushes!!! Can't be a big deal considering how we pay for landscape maintenance throughout the city.

At many intersections in Mission Viejo. Let’s try and identify those locations before the no turn on red change.

I think they should also consider no right turn on red coming from Pacific Hills Making a right on La Paz. It’s a blind curve to the left at accelerated speeds.

How about a sensor to detect oncoming cars that can be would affect the traffic light system?

I agree with Sean, Steve and Kathy. There are way too many trees, plants, etc planted in medians in this city blocking drivers' views. It's a complete danger and safety hazard. I can't stand driving in my own city.
There is plenty of…
There is plenty of visibility for a right turn on a red light as long as traffic on Olympiad is not going way over the speed limit.
There are many intersections…
There are many intersections in our town where visibility is blocked by vegetation. Your have move into the crosswalk to see approaching traffic. Whether it is a 4-way or a "T" more often drivers to left of you stop in the crosswalk to make visibility for you even more difficult. Traffic signs or lights are supposed to alert us against possible dangers (accidents or near accidents). A "No Right Turn on Red" sign is not going to stop drivers from running the RED LIGHT, which seems to be the norm for Mission Viejo.
Unless it can be enforced.
