Tragic drowning at Sierra Recreation Center
The City of Mission Viejo deeply regrets to report that a one year old child passed away from drowning this evening. The child was attending the Sierra Recreation facility with parents and friends when the incident occurred. All efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful. The Sierra pool will be closed until further notice while investigations into the incident are carried out.
The City will update the community as and when possible.
