Volunteer for Focus Group on Opioid Prevention

people around a table brainstorming

The County of Orange Health Care Agency and City of Mission Viejo are seeking volunteers to participate in a 90-minute focus group on Wednesday, October 9 as part of an effort to thwart opioid abuse and overdose in the region.

The focus group is from 6-7:30 pm at the Norman Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Most recent data from Orange County identifies white men between ages 40-60 as the highest risk group of opioid addiction and death. Because of this statistic, spouses, family members or partners of people falling into this description (who’ve had opioid challenges) are sought for the focus group.

The feedback from the focus group will be used to help develop a communitywide opioid primary prevention media campaign. The goal is to save lives.

Dinner will be provided during the focus group, and participants will receive a $30 Amazon gift card.

To participate or for more information, contact 949-752-5900, ext. 908 or dquezada@redhillgroup.com. Additional information is available by contacting Carolyn Secrist at csecrist@ochca.com or 714-834-3067.
