Work on new Viejo Court is underway
Demolition and grading are underway for a new retail and restaurant project known as Viejo Court next to Target at the corner of Alicia Parkway and Charlinda Drive.
The City granted approval to property owner and developer The Festival Companies to construct two new retail buildings totaling 11,900 square feet on a newly subdivided 1.96-acre parcel (formerly part of the Target parking lot).
Eli Mahl of the Festival Companies said the construction phase is expected to begin early 2022 and that build-out of the two-building retail center will take about five to six months.
The buildings are expected to be finished in May 2022. Interior tenant improvements begin after the buildings are complete. According to Eli, there has been much interest from retail establishments and restaurants; however, no leases have been signed to date.

Can we fill all the vacant…
Can we fill all the vacant stores around town instead? Or spruce up the quality & safety of plazas like Portola Plaza?
I agree with the first…
I agree with the first comment! Also, I wish there were open spaces with greenery, like Irvine.
