Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope is gearing up for its annual Kaleido Kids Carnival on Tuesday, August 7. The event features inflatables, games, a juggler, stilt walker, balloon artist, face painting, kiddie train, DJ and more.

Admission is free, but select activities require tickets, which are $1 each, $5 for six or $10 for 15. Guests who bring a new toy (no guns please) or a new backpack to donate to Make-A-Wish will receive five game tickets.

Head to the Kaleidoscope on April 21 for a fabulous free concert featuring talented young musicians.

The City of Mission Viejo is teaming up with Community Outreach Alliance Music Performers to host the concert from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Plaza Level at 27741 Crown Valley Parkway.

The concert will feature amazing vocalists – Gabby Leigh, Merissa Macchiorola and Corey Angeli – as well as the Triple Braided-Trio & Solo Duet.

Tapas OC restaurant is expected to open its new 6,500-square-foot eatery at the Kaleidoscope center sometime in December.

The restaurant, which used to be in Newport Beach, is known for its authentic Spanish cuisine and live entertainment. Its menu boasts an array of tapas, seafood and Mediterranean salads.

Before you head to our annual Hometown Halloween from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, October 28 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, drop by the Kaleidoscope for some spooky, funky fun.

Local youngsters can enjoy a variety of free summer entertainment at Kaleidoscope, when the center’s annual Kaleido-Kids events return for seven weeks, beginning Tuesday, June 20.
