Mission Viejo Library

Jumpstart your holiday shopping at the annual Friends of the Library book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, November 21 at 100 Civic Center Drive. The sale will feature some great "giftable" books in like-new condition for a fraction of the original cost, including many outstanding books for kids.

Book sale proceeds go to the Friends of the Library, which sponsor the library's programs and purchase about a third of our new materials each year.

If you are seeking a captivating and enjoyable afternoon, then make plans for the 38th annual Tellabration at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 19 at the Mission Viejo Library.

Hosted by the Storytellers from the South Coast Storytellers Guild, Tellabration is an international celebration of storytelling.  The storytellers present interactive, captivating and engaging tales to delight audiences of all ages. Storytellers worldwide from Morocco to Mission Viejo are sharing their talents on this historic day.  Take part in this story celebration!

A vivid exhibit of amazing artwork is on display at the Mission Viejo Library.

The "In the Studio" exhibit includes works by members of the California Art Education - Southern Area. The artwork illustrates the variety, vision and talent of classroom art teachers in their personal creative quest.

The artwork will be on display through December 4, with a special artists' reception scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 in the City Hall Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center. For more information, call 949-470-8440.
