More students will have the chance to hop aboard the MV Shuttle, thanks to new route changes designed to cater to the shuttle's increasing popularity among high school students.
The MV Shuttle has been serving Capistrano Valley High School at morning and afternoon bell times since its inception last fall. Starting Monday, October 9, the shuttle will make a new 5:20 p.m. stop at the school to accommodate students who participate in after-school activities.
In an effort to enhance local public transportation, the City of Mission Viejo is inviting residents, stakeholders and businesses to take part in two community workshops in July.
The workshops will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 7 and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
The City, through a grant with OCTA, began "Connecting Mission Viejo" with the MV Shuttle in October 2016, and the FREE shuttle has been growing in popularity ever since.
We are now exploring options for expanding the MV Shuttle program into other parts of the community and we need your feedback. Your participation is essential for ensuring the routes arising from this study are truly reflective of the needs and priorities of the Mission Viejo community. The City of Mission Viejo is launching a ridership contest throughout the month of May calling on community members to hop aboard the MV Shuttle as often as possible to claim their prize.
